i just got my fios installed on sunday may 3rd. it took 6 months to talk my girlfriend into switching from cox to fios. our cox wasn't terrible, but when gaming, i could see a hugh lag on our home system. so we switched to fios, and even upgraded our speed from 10/2 to 20/5. ever since we switched we have noticed a considerable lag both in her work computer and my xbox. when we run speed tests  at speakeasy.net and it shows our connection speed at 19.5/4.5 which is what we are expecting, but, as good as the tests' report, we still notice a considerable problem. so we went to her companies help desk, and he ran a line quality test. it basically showed that the servers that we were pinging from verizon were experiencing a 40-60% loss in packets recieved. he told us that those servers were over saturated with new or existing customers and their multi-million dollar servers arent ready to handle that much traffic.
so, is it possible for people like us, who use lots of bandwidth, to notice the slow internet, when everybody who just check their e-mail not to notice anything? i've talked to verizon tech support 3 times in 36 hours and they basically told me i have to wait for a network tech to help me. does anybody else have any of these issues?

I don't use very much bandwidth - no gaming and so on.  But, fios tv stutters, hangs momentarily and once in a while pixilates.

Pretty much the same experiences I had with Satellite TV when it rains.

Verizon needs to pay attention to it's networks so they don't become too over burdended.

If Verizon invested some of it's money in the networks instead of advertising how great they are - maybe they would be great!

I get the same thing line quality about 1% all new wires too.
Gaming doesnt use lots of bandwith it uses very little.
the lag is either server lag or bad ping. gaming is all about good ping.
uses lots of computer though Cheesy
