Fios is finally available in my area. I am going to run new rg6 cable to 4 rooms for the tv's. I also want to run new inside phone line. I have 1 computer.I was planing on running 1 cat5e cable for the computer then 3 regular phone lines for the other rooms. Should I run cat5e cable instead of regular phone lines? I have no plans or future plans for computers in these rooms. So 4rooms will have rg6 for tv,s and 3 rooms will have regular phone lines and 1 room will have the cat5e cable. Should i put a regular phone line in same room with the cat5e? I just want things to be right for verizon. The cable in the house now are probably as old as the house, 55 years. I'm new to this board and this question probably been ask hundreds of times, Sorry.

For the most part Cat5 runs about the same price as what you are calling regular phone wire. By running all CAT5 you are only going to benefit in the future of haveing more pairs to work with and if they all demark to the same plade they could possibly be turned into data lines at a later date even if it is by someone else after the home is sold. A great selling feature.
