I just had Fios installed and almost cancelled immediately, because Fios does not offer MSNBC.  I was shocked.  Fios carries CNN, FOX, CNBC, etc.  How can this be?   Can someone tell me why?  I have spoken to a few friends and everyone has the same reaction, how can this be.  I heard that many people have cancelled because of this, or did not order Fios because of this.

Can someone please tell me if and when Fios is going to offer MSNBC.  I am ready to cancel.

For whatever reason, MSNBC decided to have an exclusive contract with Cablevision in areas where Cablevision is provided(NY,NJ and parts of CT). Verizon would like to have the channel but because of that contract, they are not able to get it. It is unknown when that contract ends. Verizon will provide MSNBC for the Olympics.
