From what I gather, FIOS TV is fiber to the pole, but is then converted to the likes of digital cable and enters your house as coax, providing compatiblity with existing wiring, and even analog channels for TVs for which you do not wish to lease a set-top converter. My question is simple, does FIOS TV comply with the new digital cable standards, and to go one step further, does FIOS TV offer Cable-Card (1.0 or 2.0) compatibility and leasing? I've got my hopes way up that the asnwer is yes, which would mean compatiblity with Tivo 3 (HD recording and cable-card compatible, expected at the end of 2006). Not looking for speculation here, but real facts from someone in the know. Thanks.
