I just called today to schedule for the Fios TV install.  I already have Fios internet, which I am very happy with.  I have a Mitsubishi HDTV (52") and I have ordered a HDDVR box.  My comcast box is a Motarola that has a DVI out, and it looks like Verizon also uses a Motarola unit.  Will it have a DVI out as well?  My Mitsu has a HDMI input, so I'm using a DVI to HDMI cable.  Comments, and suggestions are welcome

    Thanks for your help.

Well, it's been a little over two weeks or so and so far I am pleased.  I live in Flower Mound, TX  which is not too far from Keller.  I've had Fios internet since last June, and that rocks for sure.  I can see an overall improvement in picture quaility and even the music channels sound very clear  clean. HD is outstanding.  I have a Mitsubishi DLP 52" tv.

One small issue I've had is a random "tiling" effect that started mainly on VOD channels, but I did see it on regular channels but less often.  On a posative note, when I called Verizon support, they were very helpful, and patient.  When it wasn't something they could fix over the phone or network, they sent a tech out within a couple of days.  I think he ended up boosting the incoming signal slightly, replaced the router as a precation and re-checked the wiring.

I have had the TV service since late September. The HD picture is really, really good. The SD picture quality seems to vary quite a bit, from almost HD-like at times to almost unwatchable sometimes - WGN is consistently bad, and there is one other that is really terrible, but I never watch it so it doesn't matter. I too get the occasional tiling, but I find myself watching ther HD channels almost despite the content because the picture is so good.

When the TV service was initially installed, I called Verizon to complain about the SD picture quality. they responded very promptly and actually the replaced the outside box, that helped some.

I have had the Internet service since early summer, it is absolutely superb, fast and reliable.

I converted from Charter Cable and I just can't imagine going back, FiOS is just so much better.
