FiosTV went live Jan 5 in Wylie.
It was originally slated to go live Dec 1, but was pushed back due to quality of service issues. As of Dec 29, they didn't know when they were going to roll, but by Jan 1 they had the service working perfectly, so they rolled to Colleyville, Grapevine, Murphy, Sachse, Southlake, Westlake and Wylie Jan 5.
I have had FiosTV in Wylie since early November -- I was part of a "trial group". The service is great, now that the problems that were occurring in Nov/Dec have been fixed.
However, the DVR is a worthless piece of trash with a list of serious issues and problems as long as my arm. They are working on some of the major ones, and hopefully that will make it a viable solution very quickly, but the DVR should never have been released in its current state.
If we can't figure out an alternative solution for the DVR in our house, then we'll have to drop the service unfortunately, despite the amazing signal quality -- it's all about the DVR, and Verizon needs to learn that VERY QUICKLY, and not drag their feet on this as if they were a telco monopoly with no competition. But for the DVR, we would be in heaven with the new service.
