I spoke to an installer from Verizion, and he stated that the FiOS TV would be in late 2005. Now it's 2006 and still no FiOS TV I will ask the question.

When will this service be online?  Huh Huh Huh

Anybody? Huh Huh Huh

cewill,

I live in Sachse and I'm also waiting patiently on FiosTV. They had a booth at Firewheel Towncenter a couple of weeks before christmas giving the channel line up and pricing. The guy I talked to said it would be ready to go about the second week of this month.

Lucky you. I wish I could get FiOS TV. Seems like they just rolled out FiOS TV to several more areas around Northern Texas.

I want FiOS TV!!!!!!! Cry

FiosTV went live Jan 5 in Wylie.

It was originally slated to go live Dec 1, but was pushed back due to quality of service issues. As of Dec 29, they didn't know when they were going to roll, but by Jan 1 they had the service working perfectly, so they rolled to Colleyville, Grapevine, Murphy, Sachse, Southlake, Westlake and Wylie Jan 5.

I have had FiosTV in Wylie since early November -- I was part of a "trial group". The service is great, now that the problems that were occurring in Nov/Dec have been fixed.

However, the DVR is a worthless piece of trash with a list of serious issues and problems as long as my arm. They are working on some of the major ones, and hopefully that will make it a viable solution very quickly, but the DVR should never have been released in its current state.

If we can't figure out an alternative solution for the DVR in our house, then we'll have to drop the service unfortunately, despite the amazing signal quality -- it's all about the DVR, and Verizon needs to learn that VERY QUICKLY, and not drag their feet on this as if they were a telco monopoly with no competition. But for the DVR, we would be in heaven with the new service.  Undecided

Anyone know when fios TV will be available in Rowlett, Tx.? Considering Wylie is just up the road I would think soon? A fios rep with verizon told me the end of 2006. I find that hard to believe.  Cry

Thanks,
Jim
