FIOS Installation

I was wondering if someone could explain the FIOS Installation for their TV service.  I have 6 television sets in my house which will require setting up.  I assume the signal comes from the box they will put outside for my Internet service.  What kind of wires get run to this box?  Is it a fiberoptic cable that gets run?  Or do they use the co-axial cable?  I really feel silly asking this, but can't hurt

So if I read this correctly, I can use my current configureation for my TV as I use for Cablevision.  All I have to do is just disconnect the service coming in from cablevision from my splitter and then run a co-ax to where my router is from that splitter.  Then just replace my Cablevision boxes with Verizon boxes.

That sounds simple enough.  I have those 1GHz splitters used for Satellite and HD TV.  Is that good enough?

You can unplug cablevision and re-use everything without having to pull any new coax cable.
