FiOS Installation & Service Review

Well first off let me start by why I switched from TWC to FiOS.

With TWC I was paying $45 + $10 more for the top speed which was 16Mbps Down and 768Kbps Up.  Now, I started getting really crappy service every single night, not even getting 1Mbps most of the nights.  I kept on calling them every time and 2 technicians came replaced the modem and still the same issue...I gave up on calling them and few months later I decided to call them up and they ended up with sending someone out to do maintenance in the main hub which they never really fix because they kept on pushing the date.

Now, lets jump to FiOS.

Technician came and did a professional installation with the ONT in my closet so it wouldn't be visible from the living room, then he used the existing Coax cable that TWC had in place when I had cable.  After finish up everything and did the speed test on my computer speed was actually 20Mbps down and upload was pretty close...around 17Mbps-19Mbps.

Now it's been 1 month since I got the service and I'm really satisfied with it compared to cable, no additional surprises on the bill and I'm actually getting what I pay for...unlike cable.

Now with this crappy bandwidth cap TWC wants to implement I'm glad I left them.  So, I highly recommend this service for everyone.
