Does anybody know when FIOS TV is coming to Kensington, Maryland.  We have the internet service but are holding off on Direct TV in favor of FIOS if it will be here soon.

My understanding is that FiosTV hasn't been approved for a cable franchise in Montgomery County, yet.

Call everybody, verizon, your county reps, etc.  Make it known that we want our FIOS Tv

Same story in Loudoun Co. right across the river.  Political crap that has always stuck in my craw when it came to choice of tv subscription services.  Why must we still be so limited?   C'mon guys- let Verizon in.  Adelphia is out anyways- bankruptcy.  Comcast is set to step in!

All,

The only thing holding most of you from getting FiOS TV is your Local Franchise agreement.  The best thing everyone can do is get in touch with your local county counsel person and express your interest in having a choice in your TV provider.
