I got Verizon FIOS about 2 months ago.  I use a VPN to connect to work and we have several network drives that I can't access now.  I can access them on other services, such as Comcast, and i can access them at another home that is on Verizon about 10 miles away.  The routers there and at my home are set up identically so that isn't the problem.  The only difference I can see is that the house i can connect in has a different ONT from the one I have. Anyone ever heard of an issue like this?

i have an idea...
there is an issue with the MOCA technology on the routers and the ONT
the packets sent through the MOCA interface get so tangled up with information and end up unrecognizable to some devices to use with any protocol.
so that would be a good start. check if you are running on a coax connection coming into the router from the ont. if that is the case you will have to switch over to an ethernet connection.
that is the only know fix for that problem at the moment as far as i'm concerned
again this a problem specific to VPN....
to be blunt
the system is not compatible using MOCA

now you must remember that once you get data service through the coax its because you prob have TV and you need that for the tv to work. So if you have coax its going to stay coax Cheesy
