New Interactive Media Guide

Well, a few days ago they upgraded the boxes remotely with the new Interactive Media Guide. My initial thoughts were "That's colorful!". It seems okay, but I have only two complaints:

1. They removed the ability to delete channels. Under the old UI, I was able to remove those channels I never expected to what - like CSPAN! There is no option to do that in this new guide. They say its coming in a future version.

2. Whenever a program starts, it puts the show information banner up for a few seconds. VERY annoying when you're recording or watching shows back-to-back. For example, I'm recording Monk at 9pm, then it rolls into Psych at 10pm - at exactly 10pm, the "Psych" banner, time and other info pops up on the screen for a few seconds. From what I can see, there is no way to kill this 'feature'.
