Hi there. You people here seem intelligent, so maybe you can help me with my problem.  Well, I love Verizon FiOS, it is so fast and it makes my life easier, but now here is the issue.  On the router; all the wires are connected and all, but you see on the router the icons with the light next to them.  For example " power".  Well, all the lights are green, expect for the internet one, it is an orange color, and I'm guessing that's the problem since my internet doesn't work, and now I'm using this slow, crappy AOL dial-up one, mind you.  Help me anyway you can, thank you for your assistance.

I have a similar issue occasionally. For my setup, it seems to be a DHCP renew/release issue. I've been able to resolve it by turning off the router for a period of time (minutes) and turn back on and it successfully gets an IP address. On other occasions, I've had to call Verizon support and have them delete the entry for my box and it works fine. I'm going to try to get them to replace the box soon, as apparently its a known issue with the routers they supply.

orange internet light, not good.
if the issue is intermittent i doubt it is the router
most likely if is a physical issue between the router and the fiber terminal
or it is the terminal itself
you can power cycle it and it might get rid of the issue alltogether

***do this at your own risk***
it causes all services to go down for a while

unplug the live power to the battery unit
remove the battery's black and red leads
let it sit there without power for about 2 - 5 minutes
then put everything back in place
trust me it helps alot
that or just call the FSC and they can REBOOT it.

if there is a physical issue
well that would require a tech with a meter  trying to figure out where the signal cuts out
verizon or third party

again these are just suggestions that may fix the problem.

Ok you can try what Mposadastx said,
But ultimately, Ryudo said it has never worked, so the problem is that
his router needs to get activated, lol, call the Fios Solution Center. and have them activate your router.
Peace out!
