I have a Linksys SPA1000 hooked to my Actiontec Router using Verizon FIOS Connection. I am trying to access the Linksys adapter's admin page from the net with no luck!!  I have assigned a static address to the SPA1000 and done all the port forwarding to bring TCP calls to port 8088 to port 80 of the SPA1000. Still get no trafiic?  Any ideas.  Do I have to DMZ it also. (I tryed that with no success.)

OK, I figured it out. First the device you forwarding to has to be a static IP outside the range of DHCP.  Then you can ONLY use port 8080. That's the only port Actiontec allows you to use!  Cry

Untruth!!!! You can forward any port. I still don't know why it would not let me do this initially. Now I have port 8088 forwarded and it's working fine.
