why are the verizon dvr so slow. will you are watching a recorder show and you try to skip foward and it just sits there until you push the button again and again.  then all of a sudden it skips as many times as you push the button.  it reminds me of a slow computer you type and type and nothing happens then all of sudden its off to the races

I have found this occasionally happens.
My solution is to hit pause, wait a second or two and then hit play.
After it is playing normally again, I continue fast forwarding.
