Currently I am set to get the 5 mbps down and 2 mbps up plan.
My typical internet use is general browsing with an occasional batch of large file downloads. I also do some weekly uploading of around 100 to 200 megs.
My questions are: Is it worth upgrading to 15/2 for $10 extra per month? How about 30/5 for $15 per month? Are torrents and P2P able to work on FIOS Internet? I have heard there are issues with the # of P2P connections overloading the relay. What are the actual download and upload speeds you are seeing? (in terms of bytes/sec)
On a separate note: How is the provided router? Should I just connect my personal wireless router to the Verizon provided one? or Remove the Verizon one entirely? Will I lose options/content by removing the Verizon one? Does Verizon or will I lose automatic support/repair options provided by Verizon?
Thank you, Jason

In update to my previous post:
5/2 is working just fine for me 30/5 has drastically gone up in price The provided router is actually not too shabby, but I am only using it as the modem/gateway and then using a personal router.

Hey Jason,
I have almost the same question about cost vs benefit and those 2 speeds ( 5/2 and 15/2). Did anyone ever get back to you? What did you finally end up doing?
