The new guide was on both of my receivers when I turned them on this morning in Centreville, VA.  Haven't had time to play with them yet, but they look nice at first glance.

I got it also.  Lots of flash but not much substance.  To much crap on the screen at all time.  No "mini" guide.    I have not yet figured out how (if it is even possible anymore) how to hide unused channels like I did before.  Now have to surf through 100s of blanks screens if just surfing the channels.  Also on the On dvr you have to go to a separate screen to see how much recording time you have left and older recordings no longer seem to be flagged with the "warning" symbol that they may soon be deleted.

    twomeyt,

I do not yet have the new Guide, but from everything I have heard, there is no way at this time to remove channels; supposedly it is coming, but who knows when. However, you can sort of simulate it using the Favorites option, but one problem with that is if there is a Spanish language version of a channel you want to keep in your favorites you get that too, no way to have just English or just Spanish for a specific channel.

Here is a phone number that I understand is specifically for issues or questions with the new Guide: 1-888-811-1371. I have not tried it myself because I don't have the new guide yet, but I encourage you to call and let Verizon know what you don't like, they aren't going to fix stuff if they don't know we don't like it. As soon as I get the new software, supposedly in about two weeks, I plan to go through the features I use and report anything I don't like or think is broken.
