How does Verizon let you know when you are eligible for FiOS?

Do they call you or come over to your house or do they send a letter or series of postcards, etc.?  If you don't respond right away, do they follow up with you and if so, for how long?  (Just in case someone else in my home sees the notification in the mail and throws it away as junk mail before I can see it).  Thanks!

First of all, you can check the availability yourself by going to the Verizon website: http:/www22.verizon.com/Content/ConsumerFiOS/ (http://http:/www22.verizon.com/Content/ConsumerFiOS/). You can check using your phone number or address.

For me, when I got it two years ago, I knew it was available simply because they installed one of their FiOS vaults in my yard, and I called them. When TV service became available 3 or 4 months later they actually called me to see if I wanted it, which I absolutely did, I really wanted to get away from the cable.

From what I have seen and read, they may send you (many) notices in the mail, and I know they hire contractors to go door to door in some areas (I had one come to my door about 3 months after I got the service).

I suggest you try the website, if it doesn't show now wait a week and try again, and keep trying, that is the easiest way to find out.

yeah i'm pretty sure you'll start getting advertisements in the mail.
