Did FiOS grow too fast?  I got installed on July 20.  Everything seemed fine for the first week.  Then this weekend I got hardly any emails, although I was able to verify many I had not received had been sent.  This morning the email server was painfully slow.  Now it just times out.  An Internet service which cannot deliver email is pretty sorry.  Did they fail to increase server capacity as they grew?

It may very well depend on where you are. Verizon may have (temporary?) trouble at your local central office, for example.

I have had FiOS internet service for over 2 years and TV for almost 2 years, and not one single failure that I know of (my wife and I travel some and there might have been a failure while we were gone). My email response is incredibly faster than what I experienced using cable internet access. And FWIW, I have experienced absolutely no slowdowns on email today, from about 8 AM CDT until now.

I suggest you contact the FiOS tech support folks and report the problem.

actually i think i may know the answer
i don't know if you've noticed this but there is some revamping being done at the email servers
sometimes you'll get redirected to a new log in screen.
i wish i had more details
but just keep waiting for it
the verizon portal is the verizon portal and it really doesn't matter if you have dsl, fios, or dial up it still goes to the same place
the issue is not specific to fios basically.
