As a brit I love living in New York, the people are just great,BUT as far as technology goes its like living in the 1970's still. The overhead telephone lines I am told, are from the 1950's and frequently breakdown and whilst I am in Whitestone and surrounded by many expensive homes 'Malba' for example this area is not mentioned for cabling. I'd love Fios but just a reliable telephone service would be nice. This is the first forum website I have ever posted a comment on, come on Queen's lets start living in the 21st Century, a big facelift is urgently needed. I used to work for NYNEX in London (that's New York- New England) Cable Company. The whole of the UK has been cabled for SEVERAL YEARS. You say you're giving priority to high income ares first, let me tell you from many years of experience, it's the average to low income earners who take up cable and pay on demand most.
