I'm wondering when Verizon will bring FiOS to Methuen? I'm not sure why it's not on their list of cities to deploy it in, but we're next to Salem, NH who has or will be getting it. We're just next door to Andover who's had it for some time, and I know for a fact that just four houses down from me is the fiber optic cable that was installed years ago. I beg of you Verizon to come and put Comcast out of business, please add methuen to your list. We have the infrastructure, and are really close to your nodes and servers, so we'd be an easy town to do.
you should be hitting the fios aval. page weekly (or more often) checking. i've done so for about the past year... and for the last 3 months, they've been doing everything from replacing telephone poles, running cable and installing breakout boxes on the poles in front of my house.
it looks like they've lit up the whole north-western area of MA with fiber.
oh, also use your neighbors addresses to check availability.
